I’m sure you’ve been around the table of a lavish restaurant where a friend has suggested the meals are deliberately late so that everyone buys more drinks. But have you heard the one about the drink that stimulates your appetite? An Aperol Spritz is a lively alcoholic beverage that evokes the sociable Italian lifestyle, made from a fusion of high-quality herbs and roots, together with orange peel and rhubarb, to form the perfect aperitif.
To coincide with the Australian Open, Aperol made the summer its own by taking over some of the best watering holes through a series of Spritz Sunset Sessions serving up Aperitivo-style foods and drink specials.
Aperol Spritz has taken over the following venues:
– Coogee Pavilion (Sydney)
– The Winery (Sydney)
– Manly Wharf (Sydney)
– Watsons Bay Hotel (Sydney)
– Icebergs Bar & Dining (Sydney)
– Riverland (Melbourne)
– The Globe Bar (Perth)
– The Cottesloe Beach Hotel (Perth)
Even as the tennis comes to a close, Aperol Spritz Sunset Sessions will continue in full force at the following Sydney venues:
– Watsons Bay Hotel (February 5 – March 26)
– Bondi Icebergs (February 5 – March 31)
– The Newport (February – March)
The summer season also marks the launch of Club Aperol on SoundCloud featuring 6 curated summer soundtracks from esteemed Australian DJs including Bani, Clo, Si Philby, NES and Nick Van Tiel. This is a selection of mixes designed to compliment the perfect Sunday session at home with some your very own summer in a glass: the Aperol Spritz.
