It’s not the first rodeo for Toys for Bob either. The developer previously worked on the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy; a remaster of the original Crash trilogy that sole over 10 million copies. Additionally, the team also worked on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, but unlike the two classic series mentioned, the new Crash Bandicoot game won’t be a remaster. Fans are copping a fully-fledged original that is set to pick up immediately after the events of Warped, the third entry in the original series.

In this new game, we see villains Neo Cortex, Dr N. Tropy and Uka Uka stranded on a far-off planet, however, through some rather spirited endeavours, the trio manage to escape, once again threatening to take over the multiverse. As part of the journey, players will inhabit Crash or Coco, along with Neo Cortex, who will reportedly have his own special levels through the game.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released on October 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with ports to PS5 and Xbox Series X likely but not confirmed.
