We are officially back in the 90’s now—and we’re pretty excited about it. Nintendo just announced that they plan to release the Super NES Classic. This cool throwback is a miniature version of the original Super Nintendo System that came out in 1991. The Super Nintendo Classic is set to be released in September. Here is what we know about it so far.
It Will Probably Sell out Within Minutes
Due to all of the hype that we have heard about this system, we expect that it will be sold out within minutes. Resellers will probably grab as many as possible and then resell the consoles at significantly inflated prices on sites like eBay. So, if you are not one of the first lucky individuals to grab this system, it will probably be savagely difficult to get at a reasonable price past the initial release. There has been talk that Nintendo intends to take preorders for this system. We are keeping our fingers crossed for this to happen.
29 of Nintendo’s Best Games Will be Preinstalled
The Super NES will come with a variety of popular titles including Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past and EarthBound. It will even include a title that has never been released before—Star Fox 2. This game was made for the Super Nintendo but never actually released.
Two Classic Controllers Will Be Included
The system comes with two wired classic Super NES controllers. Also included in the box is an HDMI cable, an AC adapter and a USB charging cable.
