Catherine: Full Body
A mixture of dating simulator and addictive puzzle game, Catherine: Full Body could be the strangest yet most satisfying game you play in 2019. Vincent Brooks is a 30-something-year-old engineer who wants nothing more than to stay in a steady relationship with his partner Katherine and hang at the bar with his mates. But after a drunken mishap, a woman named Catherine begins causing serious issues for our hero.
During the evenings, players engage in conversations and anime cut scenes with Vincent, his mates and the multiple women in his life. At night, his fears come to life within horror-themed block puzzles resembling nightmare interpretations of Tetris. And there’s something bigger going on. Men who die in their dreams are dying in real life.
It’s all bizarre, very Japanese, but also excellent and incredibly original. Catherine Full Body is the remake of 2011’s PlayStation exclusive Catherine. The remake/remaster features new modes, new characters and new outcomes for the choose-your-own-adventure story. Available now
