Xbox Joins the Gucci Gang

Gucci and Xbox have gone full co-op mode and launched a limited-edition console bundle. Why? Well, both brands are coming up to significant milestones, with the Italian fashion house celebrating its 100th birthday and the Microsoft-owned company hitting two decades of gaming glory. Through Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s vision, Gucci saw an opportunity to blend tech with tradition. In a press statement, they described the collaboration as an effort to explore new cultural areas, and in doing so, give a nod to the past, present and future.

The result of this joint venture is the unveiling of 100 numbered sets, which includes a custom Xbox Series X console with a GG-pattern laser-engraved, two Xbox Wireless Controllers in Carbon Black featuring Gucci’s Web stripe in red and blue, and a hard case inspired by Gucci’s archival luggage. On the bottom of the case lives the motto “GOOD GAME” in yellow, which recalls the happy coincidence that GG stands not only as a famous motif in Gucci’s vocabulary – deriving from founder Guccio Gucci – but also as an acronym gamers use online.

For all you boujee gamers, the set will be available on November 17 on the Gucci website, as well as select Gucci retail stores in New York’s Wooster, Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills, Moliere Palacio de Hierro in Mexico City, Beijing SKP Shibuya Parco in Tokyo, as well as pop up Gucci Circolo locations in London, Berlin and Milan. With only 100 gaming systems on offer, a very big “GG” is in order for those who get their mitts on one.
