The next (maybe) president of the United States is set to talk shop with the biggest podcaster in the business. Kanye West has agreed to join Joe Rogan for an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, the world’s most famous podcast and a gateway to global infamy, not that Yeezy needs any help.

The announcement came via Twitter, where West disclosed that he was open to going on the podcast, later tweeting a screenshot of a call between the pair. The consummate artist, West even noted: “Joe Rogan said it’s cool for me to design the set for our podcast this Friday.” While we can only hope he continues to full-name Rogan throughout the entire ordeal, you have to wonder just what this episode could look like.
West’s rapid decline into political obscurity has left many wondering if this is all an elaborate publicity stunt for an upcoming project or just the ramblings of a pop-culture powerhouse. The idea of a Kanye West x Joe Rogan podcast makes total sense. The unique format has proven to be a hit amongst political, entertainment and business fans, with A-listers turning to the podcast for profile-boosting. The unadulterated, long-form approach plays perfectly into West’s hands, allowing him to add fuel to the strange fire he’s been stoking over the past few months.
A three-hour-long exposé into the inner workings of Kanye West’s campaign, creative direction and slowly deteriorating mental health could prove to be the most interesting interview of all time. Or an absolute trainwreck. We’ll find out.
