LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster: Price, Release, Rarity
It’s one of the most iconic symbols in rock history, famous for birthing the biggest tunes ever recorded, and now the Fender Stratocaster is getting the LEGO treatment. The guitar best remembered for being set ablaze by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock ’69, lovingly shredded by Stevie Ray Vaughan and punished by Kurt Cobain has been reimagined by LEGO Ideas fan designer Tomáš Letenay.

“I used to play electric guitar when I was a teenager and I always dreamed of owning a Fender Stratocaster – but I could never afford it,” Leteney said. “The competition on LEGO Ideas gave me the chance to create it in LEGO bricks. The Stratocaster was my gateway into music and I love seeing my LEGO design with the stand. I am hoping that other guitar fans get as much joy out of building it as I have.”
Based on a 1970s model of the electric guitar, the new LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster Set is a small scale model that features all the trimmings. Basic accessories like the six string set-up are included, but there is also the handy addition of poseable tuning pegs and a tremolo arm. You can also proudly show off your work with the folding display stand, and an accompanying foot pedal and amp. According to LEGO, the amplifier’s back and top covers can also be removed to show its inner speaker code, wiring and intricate details such as the tubes, speaker and motherboard.

The LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster set will be available from the 1st October 2021 from LEGO Stores and online. It is priced at USD$99 (AUD$159.99).
