adidas & 007 Team Up for James Bond Sneaker Collection

When we think of James Bond footwear, running shoes don’t exactly spring to mind. However, when there’s a pop culture release as big as the upcoming No Time to Die film, there’s usually an overdose of collaborations that follow. And the latest joint venture to hit the town is between adidas’ highly admired Ultraboosts and 007. A weird combination for some, but perhaps our favourite international spy has a low key appreciation for streetwear… Regardless, four variations of the Ultraboost sneaker have been reimagined in this latest collection, all inspired by 007’s iconic style.

The James Bond x adidas Running line-up features reinterpretations of the more classic UltraBoost DNA and the modern Ultraboost 20 silhouette. The DNA pair claims to mimic the “white tuxedo” and “black tuxedo” closely associated with the killer style of the sophisticated secret agent. The shoe features several references to the 25-year history of the Bond franchise and the torsion bar has been designed to echo the look of a classic black bow tie.

The two remaining UltraBoost 20 sneakers have been created to celebrate Bond as well as two of No Time To Die’s most prominent characters. The black colourway pays tribute to the technological prowess of boffin Q and even includes a secret pocket hidden in the tongue of the sneaker. Remi Malek’s character Safin has inspired the final gunmetal grey colourway with the white cage surrounding the midfoot giving a nod to the face mask worn by the evil foe.

The limited-edition kicks are scheduled to drop on the Aussie adidas website on September 24th, giving plenty of time to wear them in for the No Time To Die theatrical release on November 11.

Each of the four limited edition shoes will release at adidas’s website Down Under on September 24, while No Time To Die is (finally) due for its Australian theatrical release on November 11.
