‘Archer’ Season 13 Trailer Drops The Agency in the ‘Danger Zone’
The charming international spy, Sterling Archer and his crew are coming back for another round as FXX has finally treated fans with a new trailer for Archer season 13. A brand new season of the hit animated show means new drama, characters, unexpected twists and a ton of sham as the team tries to recover from the death of Malory and find a new way ahead. But all is not as it seems, leaving fans to question just what will happen when the Archer season 13 release date rolls around on August 24.
The former leader of the agency and also the mother of our protagonist Sterling, Malory was voiced by Arrested Development legend Jessica Walter, who unfortunately passed away last year in her New York home at the age of 80. Archer season 13 will focus on events after Malory’s death, with no one to helm the agency, everyone will need to prove their worth in order to reign supreme.
As per the official description, “in season 13 of FX‘s comedy Archer, the Agency has been acquired by the spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency). As Archer and the gang struggle to find their identity, performing odd missions for Fabian, one question arises: will they be able to maintain independence, or will they succumb to their corporate overlords?”
So, it’s clear that our characters are definitely going through a tough spell, and with new owners taking over the agency, a looming question is who should be the next boss? Guess, we will find out. Season 13 will comprise of eight episodes and if TV Lineis to be believed then, the new season of the series will feature several guest appearances and viewers can expect to hear the voices of Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Alison Pill (Star Trek: Picard), Kayvan Novak (What We Do in the Shadows), Stephen Tobolowsky (Groundhog Day) along with routine Archer guest star Christian Slater.
The Emmy Award-winning adult animated comedy series has managed to create a great name for itself with its witty punchlines and memorable characters. Created by Adam Reed, Archer first aired in 2009, and even after 12 long seasons, the series still is going strong. The voice cast for Archer Season 13 sees the return of H. Jon Benjamin as Sterling Archer, Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Judy Greer as office assistant Cheryl/Carol Tunt, and Chris Parnell as a loyal company man, Cyril Figgis.
