Every episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender is arriving on Netflix in the US May 15, meaning you won’t have to wait long to relive the hit animated series or experience it for the first time. Avatar is already on Netflix in Australia, so why wait?
Originally airing on Nickelodeon for three seasons from 2005, Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the journey of Aang, a survivor who must master the elements to bring harmony to the four warring nations. It makes a lot of sense that Netflix would scoop up the rights to the animated series as the streaming service announced work on a live-action adaptation. We’re hoping this new adaption is a whole letter better than the M. Night Shyamalan version from 2010.

There’s currently no word on if The Last Airbender spinoff The Legend of Korra will make its way to Netflix, although series fans may want to check out The Dragon Prince, an animated series from Last Airbender writer and producer Aaron Ehasz.
In other Netflix news, Spirited Away and 20 other Studio Ghibli animated classics arrived on the streaming service earlier this year, and if you need that action fix, the new film Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth will likely scratch that itch.
