The first seven episodes of Billions season 5 introduced us to Corey Stoll’s Michael Price, a billionaire with a penchant for ruthless investing. Brash and unforgiving, Prince made the perfect thorn in Axe’s side, leaving the two titans of industry locked in a war of words. In season 5, things come to blows.

“You can look as long and as hard as you want at my life, past and present, but there’s nothing there for you to chew on,” Prince tells Axe in the Billions season 5 trailer. “You sure? When a man’s bluffing he looks a guy right in the eye,” Axe fires back.

Billions season 5 sees alliances form, get ripped apart and form anew, and everyone from Taylor to Wendy gets roped into the conflict, which comes very close to destroying all they hold dear. The series also stars David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin and Jeffrey DeMunn. Jeanane Garafolo will guest star as Winslow, the hip owner of a legal cannabis corp.

The instalment of Billions season 5 is set to premiere on Australian streaming platform Stan on Monday, 6 September with five new episodes, the same day as the U.S. Best of all, the midseason premiere is just the beginning. Billions has already been renewed for season six, which will premiere early next year.
