El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is on its way, but before you sit down to reacquaint yourself with your favorite drug dealers, Aaron Paul has a homework assignment for you. The Emmy Award winning actor, who portrayed Jesse Pinkman in the series, tweeted an emotional clip from “Breaking Bad,” letting fans know that they should watch the clip before the movie as it will “slowly prepare you all for what’s to come.”
The scene comes from the seventh episode of Season 3, titled “One Minute.” In the scene, Jesse blasts Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, for destroying his life. Paul masterfully portrays Pinkman hitting his lowest, and sharing the clip seems to suggest that “El Camino” will follow up on Jesse’s feelings of being alone. Netflix released an official synopsis for “El Camino,” which reads, “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”

In speaking about the movie in an interview with The New York Times, Paul said, “It’s a chapter of ‘Breaking Bad’ that I didn’t realize that I wanted. And now that I have it, I’m so happy that it’s there…I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds . I was just lost in my thoughts. As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that Vince wanted to take me on this journey.” Paul elaborated on Twitter, saying, “Vince absolutely crushed this thing on the page and on film. Thrilled for the world so finally see this piece of cinema history.”
Before “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie” hits Netflix on October 11, make sure to finish Paul’s homework—you’ll want to be ready for this new chapter.
