The heart-pounding action-thriller is set in the Comanche Nation,  following the story of a young and fierce warrior named Naru. Raised by some of the most legendary hunters to roam the Great Plains, she sets out to defend her people from a mysterious creature threatening their existence. However, the prey she stalks turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a highly advanced arsenal, resulting in an epic showdown between the two adversaries.

Prey is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (The Boys, 10 Cloverfield Lane) and penned by Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan, Treadstone). The filmmakers were committed to creating a movie that accurately portrays the Comanche, featuring a cast and crew comprised almost entirely of Native and First Nation’s talent. On-screen stars include Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road, Roswell, New Mexico), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home) and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal). The movie also stars Dane DiLiegro (American Horror Stories) as the Predator.

Under the Star banner, Prey will premiere on Disney+ August 5, 2022.
