Game of Thrones has a well-earned reputation of killing off its characters, which certainly would be difficult for the actors who portray those characters. But can they be honest about their real feelings of how a show goes without being concerned about their careers?
Evidently, some can.
A YouTube video put together three minutes of cast members trying to diplomatically answer questions about how the show ended, and it’s very telling to watch. The video features Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister).
There’s even a quote featuring George R.R. Martin’s disappointment of how the show has left what he originally wrote.
And it’s not just the cast that is voicing their collective disappointment. With only one episode left, fans were left with serious doubts over whether or not the show creators could be able to bring the epic series to a satisfactory close. The season seems to be riddled with poor choices, such as how dark the episodes have been, making it difficult to see what’s happening, or the unfortunate appearance of a Starbucks coffee cup in another episode.
Will the show be able to pull it off in the eyes of history? Judging from the video, it could be doubtful.
