Based on the 2019 book of the same name by Mike Isaac, audiences will be taken on a journey through Uber’s meteoric rise to success. The season pivots around Travis Kalanick (Gordon-Levitt), the company’s fiery CEO, who is eventually ousted in a boardroom coup. The series will highlight several unsavoury goings-on at Uber, including their infamous boy’s club culture that made deceiving law enforcement commonplace. Ultimately, viewers will be given an insight into the rollercoaster ride of one of the most destructive unicorns in history, showcasing the ruthless nature of Silicon Valley.

SHOWTIME has assembled an all-star cast to feature alongside Gordon-Levitt. Playing Kalanick’s mentor Bill Gurley, the Texan venture capitalist who bets his fortune and reputation on Uber is Kyle Chandler (Bloodline). Additionally, Uma Thurman has signed on for the role of Arianna Huffington, the savvy businesswoman who co-founded The Huffington Post and was an Uber board member.

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber is the first season of the anthology series covering various business leaders and titans. The series will premiere on February 27th on SHOWTIME or Paramount+.
