You will be binging content like never before with free Disney+. The new service is finally available in Australia and New Zealand, along with the US, Canada and a few other regions. The first major threat to Netflix’s streaming dominance showcases a fantastic selection of content. We’re talking all things Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and around 600 other movies and TV shows all available at launch – like all 30 seasons of The Simpsons and the exciting big budget live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
In Australia, Disney+ costs $8.99 a month or $89.99 for a full year of content. With a Disney+ subscription, you can download your favourite movies and shows to watch wherever you want without the need of a constant internet connection. You can add up to seven different profiles on one account and customise each with avatars of your favourite Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar characters.
Disney+ is available for download on smart TVs, phones, laptops, tablets, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. One account can simultaneously stream content on up to four registered devices for sharing with the entire family or household. As the Disney+ library grows, expect never-before-seen original feature films, series, short-form content and documentaries.
Marvel’s recently unveiled Phase 4 line-up primarily consists of new series coming to Disney+ like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and a Loki series. Star Wars fans can also expect another live-action series with Ewan McGregor returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi. There are plenty of the reasons to hang on to that subscription moving into 2020.
