James Bond 007 Secret Agent Attaché Case Returns From Russia With Upgrades

When Major Boothroyd first demonstrated the attaché briefcase to 007 in the James Bond film From Russian With Love, no one could have predicted how important it would become. Loaded with hidden features, such as a flat throwing knife in the top corner, 20 rounds of ammunition stored in the two cylinders in its base and 50 gold sovereigns concealed in the lining of the case, viewers deemed the briefcase as the ultimate superspy essential, and Bond agreed. Since the 1963 film was released, the iconic attaché briefcase has become standard issue amongst 00-agents now, it can be yours.

The official 007 store has unveiled the new James Bond 007 Secret Agent Attaché Case, a re-issue of the toy case first released in 1965. This time around, it’s a numbered special edition series that celebrates movie magic in its finest form. Made from the same moulds as the 1965 release, the 2021 case includes some nostalgic throwback gadgets Bond fans will fondly remember.

Opening the lush black simulated leather outer, you’ll find a coding device for writing secret messages and a codebook that also operates as a passport. Much like the original From Russia with Love Attaché Case, there is also international currency, secret business cards and gold coins.

But as much as it is similar to the 1965 collectible toy, the 2021 edition does make some upgrades. The new piece cops a flocked red interior to match the original movie prop, with a replica of the original James Bond Secret Agent Movie Camera featuring in place of the gun. It also includes a Secret Agent Pen, that the 007 Store confirmed writes with invisible ink and can only be read by another “00 Secret Agent” with another “Secret Agent Pen”.

The James Bond 007 Secret Agent Attaché Case is made with black simulated leather and comes complete with gold metalwork and 007 combination locks with a dagger insignia. Priced at USD$595, it is available to pre-order now with shipping expected for November 2021.
