Watch Jordan Peele’s Latest ‘Nope’ Movie Trailer
Universal Pictures has released a fresh trailer for Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated film Nope, set to be released on August 11. The Oscar winner gave us a taste of his new hellish reality in February, yet, much was left to the imagination. This time, the movie reveals a mysterious presence lurking in the sky, and as we predicted, it’s looking very extraterrestrial.

Following the success of horror projects like Get Out and Us, the industry’s biggest disrupter has now set his sights on reimagining the summer movie with a ‘new pop nightmare’. Nope sees Peele link back up with frequent collaborator Daniel Kaluuya, alongside Hustler’s Keke Palm and Steven Yeun of The Walking Dead for a chilling look at western isolation. According to the official synopsis, Kaluuya and Palmer operate the Haywood Ranch, a proudly Black-owned business of horse trainers in Hollywood with a deep connection to the birth of modern cinema.
When a mysterious presence in the sky begins to affect their lives – and kill their Dad – they are terrified but also spot an opportunity to cash in if they capture what they believe to be alien activity on camera. They convince a tech guru (Brandon Perea) and film-maker friend (Michael Wincott) to assist them, but as you expected, chaos ensues. In particular, the latest preview shows a tiny snippet of what looks to be a UFO, so expect to see an epic showdown between humans and aliens. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Peele threw us a massive curve ball.
The film will be released by Universal Pictures worldwide on August 11. You can watch the official trailer above.
