Produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese, the series will be an adaptation of Erik Larson’s 2003 non-fiction novel, The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America. It tells the frightening true tale of serial killer Dr H.H. Homes and Daniel H. Burnham, the architect of the 1893 World’s Fair, and how their lives weave together. Shut up and take our money.

According to Variety, the adaptation has been in the works for some time. DiCaprio initially acquired the rights in 2010 with plans to star as Holmes in a film. Scorsese signed on to direct in 2015 with Billy Ray destined to write the script. Following years without any movement, Hulu announced they were moving it to small screen series in 2019, with Reeves reportedly in negotiations for the lead role since January 2022.

The television series will be titled Devil in the City, with Hulu yet to confirm which lead character Reeves will play. While production seems to be full steam ahead, the streaming platform has not yet confirmed a start date. In the meantime, the 57-year-old has another huge blockbuster coming out early next year.

A trailer for John Wick 4 has already surfaced, with Reeves returning to reprise his role as the embattled hitman for the first time since 2019. However, fans of the neo-noir action thriller franchise will have to wait until 24 March next year for it to hit theatres. Check out the trailer below.
