‘Matrix 4’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Set For Same Day 2021 Release Date

We been thinkin’, and, well, this may warrant the addition of an eighth nation-wide public holiday.

This year has been a big year for Keanu Reeves, who appeared in four Hollywood projects: ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’, ‘Always Be My Maybe’, ‘Toy Story 4’ and ‘Between Two Ferns: The Movie’. It’s looking like 2021 will be another big one for Reeves, with the arrival of two more crackers: ‘Matrix 4’ and ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’.

The date for John Wick: Chapter 4, which stars the 55-year-old actor, was set by Lionsgate back in August. Warner Bros. has just announced that the highly anticipated Matrix 4 will drop on the same day, setting up a Keanu Kollision at all cineplexes around the globe. The date to look out for is 21 May 2021 – it’s a Friday, for those who want to start clearing their calendars.

Aware that 21 May 2021 will be a day of Keanu Reeves taking all our money at the movies, fans are already calling for the date to become “Keanu Reeves Day”. This only seems apt, considering we will have waited 18 years since the The Matrix was last on the big screen.

Warner Bros. also updated a bunch of release dates for other 2020-22 productions. Among the 12 titles in the mix are ‘Birds of Prey’ (7 February 2020), ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ (5 June 2020), ‘The Batman’ (5 June 2021), ‘The Suicide Squad’ (6 August 2021), ‘Black Adam’ (22 December 2021), ‘The Flash’ (2022) and ‘Aquaman 2′ (16 December 2022).

Happy days ahead.
