The holiday season is nigh and Netflix seems to be all prepared for it. Recently, Netflix UK & Ireland took to Twitter to reveal the official poster and a first look at the characters/actors from the upcoming series, dubbed Treason. This upcoming Netflix exclusive carries a rather intriguing tagline that reads, “What’s Boxing Day without a little Treason?” and marks the return of Charlie Cox to the streaming platform, best-known for his role as Daredevil in the MCU. In Treason, Cox plays an M16 Agent named Adam Lawrence, fresh out of training and his first assignment as a covert intelligence personnel is to collect espionage for the UK’s national security. However, things suddenly take a turn for our spy “when the past catches up with him in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past, he is forced to question everything and everyone in his life.”
With Kara now in the picture, Adam begins questioning everything, which leads to a triangular relationship between Kara, Adam, and his wife. The role of Kara is played by Olga Kurylenko, while Oona Chaplin dawns the role of Adam’s wife, Maddy. The freshly released images of Treason give us a tease at various characters and the general tone of the show. Beyond the poster and images, Netflix even shared an official synopsis for the show.

But when the past catches up with him in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past, he is forced to question everything and everyone in his life. A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam and his wife, Maddy; three people who are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political and diplomatic relationships, whilst hanging onto their personal lives, and those they love most.”
