The clip gives us a better grasp of the film’s concepts and general tone. We get a glimpse into the fun chemistry between characters and Reynolds’s classic comedic style. We also gain a greater understanding of the dangerous task at hand, where the squad goes on a wild adventure back to the past to enlist their father’s help to make sure time travel is never invented. The official press release says the story follows “a time-travelling pilot teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future”.
Director Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) is at the helm working from a screenplay written by Jonathan Trooper and David Ellison. Levy and Reynolds are fresh off working on the 2021 film Free Guy. Watching the trailer, fans will notice The Adam Project shines with a similar vibrancy to the gaming-themed flick; even the posters share the same qualities.
Elsewhere in the film, Marvel Universe stars Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy), Mark Ruffalo (Avengers: Endgame) along with Catherine Keener (Being John Malkovich) and Jennifer Garner (13 Going 30, Alias). The Adam Project is slated to hit Netflix on March 11, 2022.
