Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ Full Trailer Featuring De Niro & Pacino is Finally Here

Stellar cast – check. Superlative director – check. Oscar nominations – incoming. Put down your Irish coffees and hold onto your horses, this movie looks to be a banger.

We’ve been looking forward to The Irishman for months, and it’s almost nearly here. The final trailer was released yesterday and shows a proper look at what we’ve got to get excited over. Take a peek, you won’t be disappointed.

The movie tells the story of Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran – a hitman for the mob who supposedly killed Jimmy Hoffa and confessed to it on his deathbed. De Niro tackles the lead and is joined by fellow mob-movie icons Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, along with a host of notable cast members including Anna Paquin, Jesse Plemons, Harvey Keitel and Ray Romano.

With a production budget of US$159 million, it’s one of the most expensive films of director Martin Scorsese’s career. Driving this handsome budget is some serious CGI, which allow us to see Sheeran as a 20, 40, 60 and 80-year-old. Without getting too technical, the de-aging technology used a bunch of cameras in unison with a bunch of dots that De Niro had on his face throughout production. De Niro spoke about the technology during a segment of The Tonight Show.

The Irishman is set for limited theatrical release on November 1 2019, followed by digital streaming on Netflix from November 27.
