The latest James Bond sequel being filmed as we speak, Bond 25, starring fabulous Daniel Graig for the fifth time, is a cinematic delight of Eon Productions for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Universal Pictures.
Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, famed for his big-screen incarnation of Jayne Aire and HBO’s True Detective, the 25th entry of the renowned series will take you on an intense journey through Italy, Greece, Norway, Scotland, England, and Jamaica.
Despite the stiff confidentiality and sealed lips of everyone involved, when asked about the plot of the renowned franchise, producer Barbara Broccoli, told the press, “Bond is not on active service when we start the film, he is actually enjoying himself in Jamaica. So he starts his journey .”
Corroborating that the truth is stranger than fiction, Daniel Craig indeed, sustained an ankle injury and had to undergo minor surgery while filming in Jamaica in May. The crew reassured fans the camera would keep on rolling as soon as Bond recovers.
This week, however, all the frenzy revolves around the first official behind the scenes video. In a one-minute teaser pumped by some pretty amped beats by Kully B & Gussy G, we catch a glimpse of the sick style featured on the set in Jamaica. The MI6 agent drives a vintage Land Rover Defender, shoots out of a Riffe Euro 55 speargun, and wears an Omega Seamaster watch, Vuarnet 06 sunglasses, Tommy Bahama shirt, Tom Ford jeans and a pair of brown Sperry boat shoes.
The footage is a sharp mix of movie clips and behind the scenes moments. We get to see a sequence of Daniel Craig and Cary Fukunaga collaborating on-set, alongside captivating frames of stunning Lashana Lynch, one of the newcomers, and some familiar faces such as Jeffrey Wright.
The new additions onboard also include the Cuban beauty Ana de Armas, who starred in Blade Runner 49, and Oscar winner Rami Malek, acclaimed for his marvellous job in The Bohemian Rhapsody. They will be joining previously featured Léa Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, and Ben Whishaw in what promises to be one of the most exciting movies of 2020.
