The Amazing Race Australia Applications Open for 2022

Remember how we used to take international travel for granted? Oh, how the tables have turned, but after the long-stay lockdowns that have kept Australians indoors and away from the rest of the world, travel is back with a whirlwind approach. Eureka Productions has confirmed that The Amazing Race Australia applications are back open for 2022, meaning you could be one of the first people in Australia to score a round-trip ticket across the seas.

Importantly, the 2022 edition of The Amazing Race Australia returns to the international scope. The most recent iteration of the hit reality show saw contestants tasked with making their way around the land Down Under. While it may have served as a departure from the original concept, the Australian-only version was an excellent catalyst for the return to domestic travel, highlighting the stunning scenery and landscapes right in our own backyard.

This time around, The Amazing Race Australia is heading back overseas, with the production company confirming that contestants will “travel around the world on the adventure of a lifetime with your favourite person”. While no cash prize has been officially outlined, previous seasons have seen an AUD$250,000 amount awarded to the winners.

For those looking to apply, it pays to do your research. Even before adding the appropriate COVID-safe measures, The Amazing Race Australia application is a detailed one. Here’s what you need to do to apply for The Amazing Race Australia 2022 series:

  • You need to be 18+
  • You need to be teams of two people
  • You must be fully vaccinated to travel
  • You must be available for filming approx. Feb 2022 for a minimum of 4 weeks up to 7 weeks (if you go on to win)
