Watch Tom Holland Go Dark in ‘The Crowded Room’ Trailer
With TV series being en vogue right now, it’s no surprise that prominent Hollywood actors are making a shift to the small screen. The latest Hollywood star to do so is Tom Holland, who’s bringing his acting chops Apple TV+‘s forthcoming limited series The Crowded Room. Apple recently teased the debut trailer for its 10-episode thriller series that comes from Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and sees the Spiderman star taking on the lead role. The show’s first three episodes are slated to premiere on June 9, followed by one episode per week every Friday until July 28.

The Crowded Room puts Holland on the wrong end of the interrogation table, with the actor starring as Danny Sullivan, a man arrested following a New York City shooting in 1979. He’s joined by Amanda Seyfried’s Ria Goodwin, who will pursue the Sullivan case and Emmy Rossum’s Candy Sullivan. The official synopsis bills the show as a “captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin.”
As per the outline, “Danny unveils his life through a series of interviews with interrogator Rya Goodwin, and slowly details to Rya, and the audience, his mysterious past that led him to the fateful incident. As Danny retrospectively examines his life, he reckons with his past and a few pivotal moments, that ultimately leads him to uncover a life-altering revelation.”
The cast for the TV series also includes Sasha Lane, Will Chase and Lior Raz along with guest stars Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski and Zachary Golinger. The first-look imagery gives us our best look at all the different characters, including Holland’s Sullivan, who can be seen sporting a clean-shaven look with somewhat big curly hair. Based on what’s been teased, the series seems to be a complex ’70s thriller that will take us deep inside the mind of a criminal and will mostly be told via the two lead characters..
Holland not only stars but also executive produces the show alongside Goldsman, who produces the project via his Weed Road Productions banner. Alexandra Milchan for EMJAG Productions and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer will all be serving as the show’s executive producers alongside Goldsman and Holland. Kornel Mundruczo has directed several episodes, including the show’s pilot, in addition to executive producing.
