“In the jungle the only way a lion survives is not by acting like a king, but by being the king”.
After two Sherlock Holmes’s and a string of flashy franchise blockbusters, Guy Ritchie is returning to his roots: British men doing crimes. The trailer teases a rock-solid looking film – criminality, in London, starring everyone.
By ‘everyone’ I really do mean everyone. Even Sean Connery will be there. Nah, not really. But this could be one of the greatest congregations of bona fide gentlemen, ever. The Gentlemen stars Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Henry Golding, Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell and more; dapper to the max. There’re some proper gentlewomen in the mix, too.
This is a film that’ll get its audiences’ hearts racing, regardless of whether it’s a male or female tush filling the theatre seat.
The Gentlemen comes out 22 January 2020.
