Making fun of people is fun and funny, right? Making fun of celebrities on the other hand; this calls for a Netflix production.
If you’ve ever wasted enough time on YouTube, you’re likely to have seen one of those Funny or Die spoof interviews hosted by Zach Galifianakis. You know those anti-talk talk show segments where he insults, torments, and downright abuses A-list celebrities? First time round, most people wonder how or why top-shelf celebs could allow anyone to ridicule them, with cameras rolling, the way Galifianakis does. Then you get a bit of a rhythm going and start to add an occasional snide comment of your own. Cop that, Steve Carrell. After 10 years of terribly brilliant, savage, awkward and intimate interviews, Zach is stepping it up a notch in a new star-studded feature film.
In the trailer released by Netflix, Zach botches an interview with Matthew McConaughey and is forced to take a road trip where he conducts improvised one-on-one interviews in a bid to mend his damaged reputation.
We challenge you to find a better cameo list. SPOILER ALERT… You can’t. This movie is the best:
Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, David Letterman, Brie Larson, Keanu Reeves, Jon Hamm, Jason Schwartzman, Adam Scott, John Cho, Chance the Rapper, Rashida Jones, Hailee Steinfeld, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Tessa Thompson.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie comes out on Netflix on September 20.
