She’s arguably the biggest singer/songwriter in the world right now, so it was no surprise that Billie Eilish was chosen to sing the theme for the next Bond film No Time to Die. Last Friday, the theme became available for streaming and boy, does it sound the part!
Billie’s theme is haunting and grim. It likely reflects the more sombre tone of No Time to Die film and doesn’t inspire hope for a happy ending for Daniel Craig’s Bond.
“I’d fallen for a lie; you were never on my side. Fool me once, fool me twice, are you death or paradise? Now you’ll never see me cry, there’s just no time to die.”
Yep, those are some dark lyrics. If you’ve seen the trailer to No Time to Die, which can be found just below, you can see Bond with love interest Madeleine Swann, who Bond suspects of betraying him, which is probably what the lyrics are referring to.
It was revealed back in January that Billie Eilish, the now 18 year-old Grammy winner would perform the theme for the 25th James Bond film, following on from Sam Smith and Adele to become the youngest artist to perform the theme for the long-running franchise.
No Time to Die arrives in Australian cinemas on April 8, 2020. There’s still a lot that we don’t know about the upcoming film, but also plenty that we do. For the fashion-forward, Daniel Craig’s Bond is seen wearing a Supply Jacket from Rogue Territory and vintage-styled Vuarnet Glacier sunglasses, which Craig also wears in real life.
The 007 franchise has always been known for its fast, expensive rides and No Time to Die will be no exception. This time around, Bond will be driving four distinct Aston Martins. “Past, present and future,” wrote Aston Martin on their Twitter page. “From the classic DB5 and V8 Vantage to the new DBS Superleggera and Aston Martin Valhalla, there is something for every Bond fan.”
Past, present and future.
To mark the 25th Bond film, #NoTimeToDie, four of our cars will be featured in the film.
