It seems that every now and then we need to be reminded that Star Wars is primarily for kids. Here to drive to the point home is Radio Flyer's scaled down version of Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder. It's simply too small to fit Dad no matter how hard he tries. In other words, this one's just for you, kids. And trust us, you will freaking love this thing.

We all remember the X-34 Landspeeder from the first Star Wars film. It's what Luke Skywalker used for cruising around on the planet Tatooine. Scrappy but indisputably awesome, the X-34 was also perhaps the earliest visual indicator of the franchise's enduring novelty. Indeed, to this day the flying vehicle remains a striking combination of familiarity and futurism (even if it existed "a long time ago").

With their latest release, Radio Flyer has brought the Star Wars vehicle back to life with extraordinary precision. It includes two seats and an interactive dashboard that can make movie sounds and dialogue. Being a kid's toy, the Landspeeder won't go as fast as Luke Skywalker's did, however it does achieve an impressive 5 mph on a 12V rechargeable battery. For the younger or first time riders, a built-in gear shift allows for a slower, but equally smooth 2 mph cruising speed. Intended for ages 4 and up, the Luke Skywalker Landspeeder is a toy we wish they'd created when we were young Star Wars fanatics ourselves. Or at the very least they can invent a flying car for us adults already. Geesh.
Check it out

Have you subscribed to Man of Many?
