Cristiano Ronaldo is kicking goals on more than just a football field. Without a doubt one of the greatest to ever grace the turf, the legendary player was a part of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2014 and ESPN’s most famous athlete from 2016 to 2019. Adding to all of that, one hell of a physique and it’s not hard to see why Ronaldo truly is the GOAT.
Playing professional football at such a high level for so many years provides some pretty amazing perks, not to mention a solid pay-cheque. After scoring a top four spot on the highest-paid athletes list again this year, Ronaldo is living up the high life in the offseason. Flexing for all to see aboard a luxury boat, the man is showing us all just how great it is to be him, and fans are lapping it up.
Shared across his socials, Ronaldo confirmed that even at age 35, the Juventus star still has it, copping a swath of fire emojis, arm flexes and applause from fans in the process. Other commenters included Piers Morgan complimenting Ronaldo on his “good abdominals,” while another questioned whether he was a man or a machine? Our personal favourite was the Twitter user who compared Ronaldo to a Max Steel action figure.
Outside of winning seven league football titles, including five UEFA Champions Leagues, Ronaldo is one of the world’s most influential athletes. According to Forbes magazine, the football star earned $105 million before taxes and fees in the past year, making him the first soccer player in history to earn $1 billion across his playing career.
With the legendary athlete now reportedly being offered to Barcelona, questions are surrounding the GOAT on whether he will ditch his £28million salary for a team-up with Lionel Messi. Could this be the beginning of a mega-partnership unlike anything seen on the football field? Or is just wishful thinking.
