Joe, one of the founders of HoopLight, openly admits that HoopLight is a pretty simple product. It consists of a length of LED lights that are zip tied to a basketball rim. A sensor is velcroed under the rim, with the bas being velcroed to the base as well. HoopLight promises a “one of a kind” basketball experience. Plans for the future include an app, sound, and laser lights.
HoopLight is proofed against moisture, temperature, precipitation, and UV rays, making it suitable for outdoor use. It’s powered by four AA batteries—rechargeable or regular—and has a sensor that turns the unit to low energy mode when it’s not in use. Even if it does stay on, HoopLight has a 30-day battery life.
HoopLight also has 100 unique light patterns. It is resistant to direct impact, so you won’t have to replace it every time it gets jostled. And because it is so easy to install, you can take it with you to whatever court you’re headed to.
Whether you’re shooting by yourself or competing in a tournament, HoopLight can add a level to your play.
