Watch Conor McGregor KO Donald Cerrone in 40 Seconds

After spending 2019 on the sidelines, Conor McGregor made his highly-anticipated UFC return Saturday night facing Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246. Last seen in the octagon at UFC 229, McGregor made quick work of Cerrone, scoring a knock out in just 40 seconds.

The Irish MMA fighter floored Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in just 20 seconds with a left kick to the head, catching his American opponent off guard and then finishing him on the ground during the main event. The McGregor v Cerrone bout at a sold-out T-Mobile Arena. While the short fight sure was impressive, some punters may have doubts whether they got bang for their buck.

Before his 15 month hiatus, McGregor won 15 consecutive fights during a five-year run, earning multiple top billings at the world’s biggest MMA events. And who can forget when the MMA drawcard took 23 months off to train and unsuccessfully boxed Floyd Mayweather. Also, the frequent, behind the scenes headline-grabbing drama seems to have done little to affect the Irishman’s drive for success.
