The NSW Police Force is excited to announce the introduction of Police Cats (PCs) at every station across the state. The expansion of the Police Cats comes after the success of felines in existing stations and units, with Splashe at Bourke police station, Lenny at the Dog Unit and Troop Cat Ed at the Mounted Unit. People may have seen these cats featured on our social media in recent months, as they have been quietly participating in the trial period of the Police Cat station program. Along with providing companionship and comfort for our NSW Police Force staff, the station cats will also provide useful services such as pest control and customer service. In what is a first in paw enforcement, twelve cats will be distributed today across the state to begin the roll out. This litter has already been named, with PCs Peralta, Sherlock and Wiggum among some of the new feline recruits.
