Black Optical and Ahlem Eyewear have collaborated on a series of limited edition sunglasses inspired by iconic Oklahoman architect and modernist Frank Wallace. In particular, the lenses channel Wallace’s design of the Graduate Centre at Oral Roberts University, with its gleaming glass panes that reflect the warmth of the sun. Each pair of glasses features a solid black frame, accented and certified by 18-karat gold mirror lenses. This collaboration does an amazing job of modernising the aviator style of sunglasses.
Released as part of a three-piece collection, there will undoubtedly be a style that appeals to the individual who needs an accessory to complete their signature look. The Bastille style of frame is equipped with a two-part bridge that will surely make a statement that you won’t forget. The Republique style is the most unique of the three, with a dense frame highlighted by stainless steel screws and an inverted bridge. Unfortunately, the third style Gare St Lazare has already sold out. Each pair is completed with a looped temple design that is anything but common. The Black Optical x Ahlem collaboration of sunglasses was handmade with care in France.
