The new Jack Purcell colourways have landed at Converse Australia and it’s time for a sale. Launched as badminton shoes back in the 1930s, the new Jack Purcell Signature sneakers are a modern evolution of the iconic silhouette with 18 new features and benefits, including two-ply duck canvas, a streamlined toecap and an ortholite footbed with embedded Nike Zoom Air technology.
Since Nike bought Converse in 2003, it appears as they are trying to make up for their past mistakes. So they’ve delivered what is the most premium expression of the Jack Purcell to date. The Converse Jack Purcell Signature shoes are meticulously crafted, allowing you to explore the unexplored.
The construction and stitching is better finished than the previous versions and the vent holes have been raised back above the insole. The toecap smile returns to its previous deep cut out and the two ply duck canvas they’ve used has added both strength and durability. The rubber soles also have a reflective latex compound built it. The ridigness of the shoes means they’re easier to clean but it might take a bit of extra time to break them in.
Many shoe brands and manufacturers are reviving the popular styles and silhouettes of the past but we think Converse has done a fantastic job in this instance. Most importantly, the iconic looks of the signature Jack Purcell sneakers are largely unchanged. This canvas low top sneaker comes in four colours and is available for sale at Converse Australia who also offer free delivery.
