Australian label Deconstructed Indigo Garments released their debut denim collection in May, emphasizing progressive tailoring and premium fabrication. Inspired by the history of denim production, D.I.G. strives to deconstruct the traditional patterns for both men and women and forwardly rebuild using selvedge materials from the world’s leading mills. The debut collection offers a handful of staple styles with classic blues in a straight leg and 70s flare alongside a skinny black. Selvedge refers to a manufacturing process where the denim is woven on a shuttle loom. This is the old-school way of constructing denim. Most Selvedge has a red dotted line however D.I.G. use a indigo thread as part of their signature.
