IWC Portuguese Sidérale Scafusia

The Portuguese Sidérale Scafusia is the most exclusive and most complicated mechanical watch ever created by IWC Schaffhausen. Never in their 140 year history, have IWC made a watch so complex and advanced, which took them a whole 10 years to develop. The front of the Portuguese Sidérale Scafusia features the solar time, the sidereal time (both can be set independently), power reserve and a very large tourbillon as seconds display. Then, on the back, we have a perpetual calendar in the form of a circular cut-out that counts the days of the year continuously. But what is most exciting about this watch is the astronomical display. The sky horizon is engraved in yellow and is completely customizable to the client’s location, so that the calculation of the angle on the horizon will be accurate.
