Our good friend Johnny Li of Dappertude has been slaving away over the past six months preparing for Sydney’s first gentlemen’s fashion seminar focused on guiding men onto the dapper path with the help of some local brands and well-known Australian instagram influencers.

represents ideal gentleman

Man of Many was there in attendance and it was a great opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces, meet some new folks and come together to celebrate all things dapper. If you’re not sure what ‘dapper’ means, basically it represents the ideal gentlemen in the way an individual should act, communicate and present themselves in the best possible light. The seminar was all about educating people on the on how to make a good first impression with your appears on the core themes of Suiting, Grooming and Accessorizing.

important elements to a good fitting suit

Tim & Mayowa from Institchu took us through all the important elements to a good fitting suit and what to consider when you’re buying your first made-to-measure suit. Shira O’Sullivan, Founder of Gentsac, shared her knowledge and tips to the essential grooming routine. And Johnny, shared his methods of styling with some tips on how to accessorise your outfit with some of his favourite pocket square folds.

feeling comfortable foot forward

What we took out of the seminar is that dressing well isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing while helping you to put your best foot forward in everything you do. It doesn’t have to be a fancy or expensive suit either. Being dapper is just as much about attitude as it is about knowing what clothes fit your body well.
