Aussie swimwear label SKWOSH has partnered with Jackalope Hotel’s celebrated cellar door restaurant, Rare Hare, to design the perfect trunks for boat days on the bay or strolling the streets of Sorrento. Limited to just 250 pairs, the unusual collaboration resulted in SKWOSH swim trunks featuring Rare Hare’s unique and colourful caricatures in bright pops of red, yellow, green and blue. The designs should be immediately recognisable to anyone who spends time in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula wine region.
The limited-edition SKWOSH x Rare Hare trunks are available now from the Jackalope Hotel and SKWOSH and Rare Hare online for $89 per pair.
The swim trunks are quick-drying with a mid-length design. An elastic drawstring waistband keeps them in place, and two side pockets take care of your essentials. There’s also a Velcro-fasting back pocket, fine mesh lining and a sewn-on SKWOSH patch logo. The trunks are made from 100% polyester.
The Rare Hare trunks are the newest addition to the SKWOSH summer range, complementing its latest collection, When Nature Calls, a mixture of men’s and kid’s trunk, and women’s bikinis and one-pieces, with designs inspired by the jungle.
SKWOSH designer Jack ‘Stubby’ Turner said the collaboration celebrates the best of the Mornington Peninsula’s pleasures, being beach-side fun and sun, with a nod to food, wine and a good time. “Rare Hare’s visual aesthetic masters the playful look which ties in perfectly with SKWOSH’s tongue-in-cheek tone.”
“SKWOSH brings a playful persona to its prints that speak to Rare Hare’s ‘devil-may-care’ air,” adds Jackalope Hotel General Manager, Tracy Atherton. “Both brands have roots to the Mornington Peninsula, and SKWOSH shorts are a staple look on the Rare Hare lawn.”
You can grab a pair of the SKWOSH swim trunks via the link below, pending stock remaining. They’re probably not suitable to wear while wining and dining at Rare Hare, but a summer must-have either way.
