Mr Porter, one of our favourite destinations for men’s style, is launching its very own exclusive label named Mr P. The MR P. collection spans 53 items centring on core staples, with 24 essential styles available year-round and 29 seasonal styles within its debut.
Mr P. is created by a team of in-house designers informed by seven years of Mr Porter customer insight. The design process for each garment is led by the guiding maxim: Easy pieces. Smart details. Enduring style.
“we felt there was a space in our mix of 400-plus brands for something that could present a unique take on wardrobe classics and also present regular capsules of more trend and seasonal-driven pieces throughout the year,” said Toby Bateman, Managing Director, Mr Porter.
“We like to think we have an unparalleled view of the male wardrobe, garnering the combined knowledge of our buyers and editors, and Mr P. is ultimately the result of that.”
The Mr P. standout styles include 15-gauge cashmere knitwear; modernised Oxford shirts; Japanese selvedge denim; microfibre, water-resistant travel blazers; and single and double-breasted overcoats in virgin wool and cashmere blends.
The majority of the collection is made in Italy, with select items made in Portugal, while the denim is from Japan. Pricing will range from £55 (approximately AUD 94) for the core T-shirts, through to £875 (AUD 1495) for the capsule’s leather aviator jacket.
The inspiration for the first Mr P. collection is 20th-century British painter and portraitist Mr Lucian Freud, during his prime in 1950s London. This collection debuts exclusively on Mr Porter on November 7. A second limited-edition MR P. collection will launch in February, followed by a third in April. MR P. will then follow with shoes and accessories.
