The Orbitkey Ring, Clip, and Strap improve on the simple task of organizing your keys. Key rings are a simple enough idea, but, like so many often used simple things, they can be improved on. Current designs are all the same—a piece of metal that has been bent into overlapping circles. Adding keys to the ring involving finding something thin enough to squeeze between the circles yet strong enough to pry them apart. Often, that tool is your fingernail and results in chips, tears, or gouges.
Orbitkey’s design eliminates that hassle. The idea, which is patent pending, involves a locking inner ring that you need only squeeze then rotate to turn the ring until its opening aligns with the outer opening. Then add your keys or other items to the ring and rotate the inner ring back. No prying, no forcing—just simple and easy.
Orbitkey recently introduced a clip and a key to accompany the original ring. The clip is basically a carabiner and offers the option of not having to shove keys into your pocket or lose them in the depths of a purse. The clip’s strap has a quick release feature that lets you swap out rings easily. The strap is basically a strap of leather with the same quick release clasp as that of the clip.
