Supreme x Emilio Pucci Uncovers the ‘Prince of Prints’
We’ll let the images do the talking with this one. There’s not much that hasn’t already been said when it comes to the designs of Prince of Prints himself, Emilio Pucci. His fashion career took an unexpected turn after his ski outfit was photographed on the slopes of Switzerland in Harpers Bazaar back in 1947, and it hasn’t slowed down ever since. Pucci opened their first store three years later in Capri where he embraced the resort wear aesthetic with a unique expression of colour that encapsulated the new American idea of luxury sportswear. Today, in true Supreme fashion, the brands collide for a collection of bold 60s-70s prints with archival roots.

It’s been a year of highbrow Supreme collaborations and the latest Supreme x Emilio Pucci collection features everything we love from Supreme. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultures and histories of the Mediterranean with unique colourways and shapes that are distinctly Emilio Pucci. This speaks to the constant dialogue that the brand seeks to continue with the founder’s dynamic vision to create a vibrant new world.
Most notably, this collection skips out on the logo slapping in favour of haute couture with expertly crafted pieces with true direction, we love everything from the smoking jacket to sunglasses. There’s even a box logo that holds the collection close to Supremes roots with hits of colour and Pucci print. Speaking of, the prints utilised in the lookbook are archival prints from Fantasia (1970) and Tulipani (1965).
The Supreme x Emilio Pucci Spring 2021 collection will be available at the Supreme Online Shop from 11 am Eastern Time on June 10. A detailed look at all pieces in the collection can be found in the feature carousel.
