Founded by GQ Editor Jack Phillips, Sydney label Eight Eight proves that pocket squares can be the highlight of your entire ensemble. Take its new limited edition design. It kind of resembles Ryan Gosling’s character from Drive in the early hours leading up to his next neon-soaked getaway. Who wouldn’t want that in their pocket?
This design comes from renowned menswear illustrator Matthew Miller who uses his deft watercolour skills to capture menswear style on the streets. The pocket square itself is a limited edition design made from silk and hand printed in Sydney using digital techniques to ensure premium quality and clarity. Only the most beautiful products for Man of Many readers.
Eight Eight is determined to put artists on pocket squares, and then get pocket squares in all types of pockets. To do just that, Jack Phillips has taken to Kickstarter where he’s offering just 500 of these silk beauties.
Prices start at AU $68, and there are even options for A4 prints of Matthew Miller’s design. This is your chance to help bring this design to life. If successfully funded, the Drive-infused pocket squares are expected to ship June 2018.
