Under Armour’s Virgin Galactic Collection Brings Space-Style to Earth

If you watched Richard Branson take to the skies last week and didn’t think, ‘Damn, those are some nice threads,’ chances are you weren’t paying close enough attention. Designed by performance-wear specialists Under Armour, the Virgin Galactic spacesuit offered a new take on suborbital flight, complete with a stylish finish and enhanced functional aesthetic. Now, to celebrate the successful spaceflight, Under Armour has unveiled a new Virgin Galactic Limited Edition Capsule Collection.

Kicking off in 2020 when the next-gen spacesuits were revealed, the Under Armour and Virgin Galactic partnership was ground-breaking, in more ways than one. Taking a solution-orientated approach , the sportswear brand fused functionality, comfort and safety into the cabin seats of the first SpaceShipTwo vehicle, VSS Unity. Following that, Under Armour turned their efforts to the astronauts themselves.

Brought together by a shared obsession for innovation and making the impossible, possible, Under Armour’s new limited edition Virgin Galactic capsule collection commemorate the integral moment space travel become a reality again. The new collection features a series of new upper and lower garments proven in space and designed for comfort and functionality.

“As a brand built to make athletes better, this new collection is built to help you push the limits of human performance. UA’s RUSH and Recover technology highlight the product offerings available in men and women sizes, which includes a hoodie and crew top, pants and leggings, and a variety of graphic tees,” Under Armour said.
