Montblanc Pairs with Kingsman for Exclusive Writing Set
“Manners maketh man.” And evidently so does keeping a journal of all your exploits. The Kingsman franchise is partnering with Montblanc to round out the accessories that every gentleman spy needs. This particular collaboration includes a special edition writing set that was inspired by the latest instalment to the Kingsman series. The movie will finally be hitting theatres in February of 2021, but you can get the Montblanc x Kingsman Writing Set now.
The Kingsman design label was started with the original movie. Director Matthew Vaughn teamed up with Mr. Porter to launch the label in 2015. Since then a number of items have been featured in the line, from sunglasses to suits, shirts, shoes, watches, sweaters, coats, and more. For the writing set, Montblanc included a 148 Meisterstuck fountain pen, a fine leather notebook, and an ink bottle. Each of the items includes design cues that were inspired by the upcoming The King’s Man. The fountain pen originally came to market in 1924, which is perfect for the setting of the new movie. The pen is done in black resin and features gold accents. It also has a handcrafted Au750 18K gold nib that has the Kingsman emblem engraved on it. The notebook is made of black calfskin leather with the Kingsman emblem digitally printed on the cover. The pages are all watermarked with the Montblanc emblem. The notebook is made in Italy. The 30ml ink bottle comes with loaded with blue ink that was inspired by the Kingsman’s signature blue suit. The Montblanc x Kingsman Special Edition Writing Set is priced at $1,090.
For the third installment in the Kingsman series, Matthew Vaughn returns as the director and teams with an all-star cast including Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Bruthl, and Djimon Hounsou. The King’s Man explores the origins of “the very first independent intelligence agency.” The story builds on the original idea created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Miller in their comic book series published by Marvel’s Icon Comics imprint. Originally slated to be released in 2019, the movie was delayed but will now come out in February, 2021.
