This Year’s Best Dressed Film – Kingsman Returns

Kingsman: The Secret Service was a surprise hit when it landed in Australian cinemas back in 2015. The film channelled classic 007 vibes, modernised with stylish action, comedy, pop culture references and the most dapper menswear ever worn during gunplay. Plus Colin Firth played an action hero. Enough said. In 2017, the secret service returns in Kingsman: The Golden Circle which sees Eggsy, Merlin and Roxy partner with the Statesman, their US counterpart to defeat the criminal mastermind Poppy and her shadow organisation The Golden Circle. Plus Lancelot returns…somehow.

Mr Porter, the award-winning online destination for men’s style, has partnered with Kingsman filmmaker Matthew Vaughn to launch a range of menswear inspired by Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The collection comprises of items featured throughout the film, including both the Kingsman’s formal attire and the Statesman’s western clothing. This will be the second Kingsman collection with the first launching alongside the original film. That collection featured jackets, ties, pants, sunglasses and everything an elite spy could need to look suave while saving the world. Since its launch, Kingsman has become one of Mr Porter’s top selling luxury brands.

Matthew Vaughn collaboration with Mr Porter was inspired by classic films. “After watching Risky Business as a teenager all I wanted was a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses – then Top Gun came along and it had to be the Aviators. The power of film to set trends is immense and Kingsman was the perfect opportunity to create my own label inspired by a movie.”
