When adidas Crazy Explosive first launched last year, this shoe was quite controversial as it looks more like a wrestling boot than a basketball silhouette. However, it has turned out to be one of the greatest basketball shoes out there. Fans have been patiently awaiting the release of a second Crazy Explosive sneaker. Adidas finally announced that they would be debuting a Crazy Explosive ‘17 with Forged Primeknit Construction.
The Crazy Explosive 17 will have a similar aesthetic to last year’s pair. They will feature a unique lightweight single-piece Primeknit upper. The design provides enhanced stability and structured support. Adidas updated the tongue and ankle padding to add more comfort to the shoe. It features a comfortable sock-like ankle collar.
A full-length Boost midsole is wrapped in a TPU roll cage. This adds better traction to help players stay light on their feet. The signature adidas branding is located on the heel tab and ankle.
There will be two colourways available—a Solar Yellow based on the Lakers theme and Crystal White.
The Crazy Explosive Forged Primeknit will be among the most stylish basketball shoes to hit the court this year. Several of adidas’ basketball stars will wear these shoes when they debut, including Eric Gordon, Andrew Wiggins and Kristaps Porzingis. So, what do you think about the newest addition to the Crazy Explosive line? Do you plan on picking up a pair when they come out at the end of July?
