Converse To Release Waterproof Chuck Taylor All Star 100 GORE-TEX Hi

Iconic shoe company Converse has 100 years in the sneaker game. The footwear brand plans to celebrate its success with a new line of upgraded sneakers. Here is a sneak peak at one of the shoes in this line—the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 100 Gore-Tex Hi. Unique because they are waterproof, these Chuck Taylors are a new take on a favourite sneaker.

Featuring GORE-TEX, these upgraded sneakers are perfect for any rainy day. GORE-TEX is a breathable, windproof and waterproof material. GORE-TEX is a modern technology that provides long-lasting, comfortable protection from water. This technology is used on a variety of products, including outerwear, gloves, hats and footwear.

Traditional Chuck Taylors don’t hold up to wet conditions very well. Although Converse has made waterproof Chuck Taylors in the past, they looked more like rain boots than sneakers. Because the waterproofing is integrated right into the canvas upper on these special-edition shoes, they look and feel just like regular canvas sneakers.

Like most Chuck Taylors, the All-Star 100 GORE-TEX Hi comes in a black and white colorway and the classic hi-top silhouette.
