Merrell Updates the Equivocal 1TRL Hydro Moc with New Colourways
In case Imran Potatoes human feet slides weren’t enough to send a shiver up your spine. Outdoor brand Merrell has announced a new range of colourways for its infamous 1TRL which has returned for Spring/Summer 2021. The range introduces three new colourways of the equivocal and contentious Hydro Moc silhouette, which has become a cut-price alternative to the Yeezy Foam Runner on which many say the shoe is based.
Merrell TRL1 Hydro Moc
Material: Single-density injected EVA
Weight: 410g
Arch: Contoured
Lug: 2mm lug depth
Price: AU$99
The shoe is absurdly lightweight (410g) and ready for whatever the wilderness (or inner-city) can throw at you. Merrell says the “ss21 footwear range signifies a departure from the well-trodden track, out into the wide-open outdoors. Designed for those searching for another dimension of the trail.” But almost ironically, the shoe might look better out of the forest than in, scaling city steps in style when worn under a nice pair of trousers with socks *gasp*.
Although, you’ll compromise the moc’s waterproof capabilities, which don’t make a lot of sense anyway considering they have holes in the sides. Regardless, the shoes (if you can call them that) are set to arrive in three colourways. Including a traditional all-black, as well as a “Kombu” green and a beige “Kangaroo” design. You’ll be riding in style on the shoe’s signature single-density injected EVA construction, featuring contoured arch support, an articulated heel with strap and 2mm-deep lugs on the outsole.
The Merrell 1TRL Hydro Moc is now available through End. via the links below. The Hydro Moc is designed to be an easy on / easy off shoe, so sizing is generous. If you normally wear a half size in Merrell footwear, we suggest you size down, rather than ordering a half size larger.
